Microsoft Employees Disrupt Wii U Best Buy EventsRemember how Nintendo was showcasing some of their E3 games at participating Best Buy stores around the country? Well, apparently Microsoft employees have been hired to go to these events and preach about the Xbox One and make comments like "why would you buy a outdated Wii U when the Xbox One is right around the corner?"
However, the employees aren't getting what they hoped for. Most customers just start bashing the Xbox One in response. Seriously, Microsoft, the people attending these Best Buy Wii U events are people who are intimately familiar with the crap you pulled at E3. They ain't takin' your shit.
At first I thought this might just be a case of one really loyal Microsoft employee taking matters into his own hands (especially since the original source was /v/), but reports have come in from numerous Best Buy's around the country that indicate many Microsoft employees have ambushed the demo lines trying to persuade people to switch to the Xbox One.

Please Pants Responsibly (Paper Notebooks FTW)

There are two ways to write a novel. Plotting (you make an outline, a plan, a roadmap if you will, and then you sit down and write it) and pantsing (you write "by the seat of your pants, throwing caution to the wind). So when I get asked if I'm a plotter or a pantser, I'm all like er, uh, hold on, let me? Pantser? I think? But I kind of, um, do planny things?
And it gets kind of awkward because in these inarticulate moments I have managed to confuse everyone including myself. And probably spilled a drink.
In recent discussions, however, I've had a bit of a revelation, silly as it is. I've realized that I -- like many writers -- am a plotter/pantser hybrid. And perhaps what I'm doing is something we could call Pantsing Responsibly. And, maybe, just maybe, I could share some of my responsible pantsing tips with other writers. The Used Game ParadigmOver the course of this past generation I've been watching the video game market react to the way it's been forced to deal with increasing changes. I've come out against used game sales and even written a journal about boycotting GameStop because (like most people at the time) I believed they were the root cause of all the problems the video game industry has. But that's something I don't believe now as intently as i did then. From where I sit, piracy and used games sales are a problem, but not in the way game companies want us to believe that they are.
Used games are a good thing for consumers. We get to try games out, and if we don't like what we see or finish it early, we trade it in and try another title instead. It's a very good system for us since video game rentals are much harder to come by. SPIKE updatesJust thought I'd share with you guys some updates on the progress of finishing my "SPIKE" novel.

well, I've been home from my trip since Sunday....I was just too lazy to write a journal at the time, had lotsa studying to catch up on too XP so yeah, I'm okay...I survived coming home in heavy thunderstorms...lightning was cool but scary while being in a car O.O' heh, wish I had photos...there were quite a few cool strikes I saw XD

anyways, I've also been doing okay this week...still a bit down while thinking about my granddad and his condition as well as my grandmas...but other than that, it seems I'm managing my grades ^^ got a B today on my Government test...I'm actually doing well in algebra Oo? and Mr. John told me I'm really good at diagramming sentences...I didn't expect these things, 'cause of how my grades usually stink, but yay? XD other than that, I'm glad to have supportive teachers...I stayed after school today for some tutoring on writing my paper about Government, and my teacher, Mrs. Ellen, said she'll help get whatever image or thought comes to my mind that I tell/describe to her into an actual essay...which is good, 'cause I have a hard time writing down my thoughts and imagery

anyways, my only troubles in school would be focusing and turning the images and thoughts in my head into words...I also have trouble reading, though I doubt I have a reading disorder

how I won't have trouble in school is maybe some more confidence in myself...but it's hard to do, 'cause I'm the type who cares so much about others, I barely think of myself...so I only support those around me to help give them a confidence boost instead |3 and no, I don't really want a lecture on how to give myself confidence, I'm okay...really, no worries! XD just lettin you guys know

other updates...umm...well, besides my MWA story having to be re-written and in a different style, I'm working on a short comic about my after school adventures outside my house |3 so far, I've destroyed an abandoned ant hill insanely with big rocks...discovered days later ants moved back in so I nearly got attacked...I also got chased by a dog of course after having a break from my backyard adventures (ant hill thing XP)...and fun/crazy stuff like that, yay~! XDDD btw, I'll also be using Misty...I still stink at drawing fictional people XP I'm awesome at stick people though!

oh yeah, the last thing to be said is that my older sis will take me to see The Princess and the Frog for my b-day this year 'cause I did 3 pages of algebra in probably one hour~!

Yes, I love lightning! Once me and my dad went to the top of our hill to watch it, and it really scared me when he said, "DON'T get out of the car!" O.O'
